Summer Science Academies

 

 The UC Cooperative Extension in Merced County proudly presents the
2024 4-H Summer Science Academy

The 4-H Summer Science Academy will include two separate weeks of fun hands-on and heads-on programs.  During each of the weeks there will be two different 4-H Science, Engineering and Technology session topics from which to choose. 

The 4-H Summer Science Academy will be held from 8:30-12:00 Monday-Friday at the Merced County UC Cooperative Extension Classroom, 2145 Wardrobe Ave, Merced.

The academy is being offered to youth ages 7 and up.

Available Sessions

About the Sessions:  Academy activities will come from the follow 4-H based curriculum that are STEM inspired and highly participatory. (Complete modules will be offered, but not all modules will be offered this summer)

Junk Drawer Robotics

Junk Drawer Robotics provides activities to make science, engineering, and technology engaging and meaningful in the lives of young people.

Ozobots 

Ozobots are miniature robots that teach programming and math with coding

Lego Engineering

Use fun and creative ways to learn engineering techniques with Legos
